Message: Be Inspired!
As you all know, the tagline of Carnival
Essence is “Everyday is a Festival.” My goal for this
business is to promote living in the present and celebrating every
day that God gives us. I believe that we are here to teach and learn,
and enjoy life to the fullest, being our authentic selves, and letting
others be their authentic selves as well. You are authentic when
whatever you do feels right in your spirit.
I
had an urge to spread my message of enjoying life through music,
and was inspired to write a soca song. So I decided one day that,
“Yes, I’m a soca artiste.” Why not? It felt right
and I was being authentic. And I would go by my nickname, Kiki.
The fun thing about life is that you can reinvent yourself whenever
you want and as many times as you want. Once I made that decision,
I asked God to guide me. Then the melody and words just flowed magically,
and my song “What Yuh Come Out For?” was born. It’s
now available for purchase through www.CarnivalEssence.com,
www.CDbaby.com, and soon
it will be on itunes and other websites. (See album cover on the
left.)
By following my impulse and just seeing where
life took me, I had an unforgettable summer. I had my song produced,
I performed it before a large audience, I got rave reviews from
many people including the soca artist Becket, and I even heard it
played on a local radio station. I didn’t even know I had
it in me. Now I realize that God is in me and therefore I can do
anything. We all must remember that we have the spiritual DNA of
the creator of the universe.
Who knows where this song will take me, or
who will be touched by it. I’ve surrendered it all to God.
All I know is that it’s exciting and it feels sooooo good.
The song reminds me that everyday is indeed a festival, and I hope
it does the same for others.
My
Message to You:
Go with your gut. That’s God speaking to you. And see where
life takes you ;)
Peace & Love,
